I hope you have no problems at all with the TTS in BIAB/RB now. Or it could be that you already know anything I may have been learning today - I am really new to VST, audio, and wav. I think the explanation may be very helpful to you if you play other people's midi files in Real Band (or in Sonar - I am sorry that I don't really know anything about Sonar other than it is supposed to be a great program and that I would consider buying one someday in the future). I have been up since 3AM this morning, however, and I just don't think I can keep my eyes open long enough now to write a clear explanation. I am going to post a detailed msg on this forum about how the problems are being addressed and corrected. I have to make some adjustments in my files to accommodate the the TTS and I plan to start on that this weekend.

The tech staff at PG Music seems to have sorted out the problems I was having with the TTS and given me directions on how to correct them. Music Creator seems to work fine and I am learning how to use the TTS-1 in Real Band. So my BIAB/RB has always recognized the TTS-1 and used it as a shared item out of the 32-bit MC-5 program.

Music Creator 5 is a 32-bit program and installed in my 64-bit Windows 7 OS as a 32-bit program. I got my TTS-1 by buying Music Creator 5. Has anyone encountered such problems with the TTS in PG Music products or elsewhere? Do you have any ideas for how to deal with the problems I have found? One PG Music Tech is working on the problem with me now, but so far we have not been able to identify a cause or possible fix.

I would very much like to use the TTS-1 as my basic virtual synth on stage for midi sounds, but right now I have reverted to using MME on the computer (that's all there is except for the MS wav.) while planning to return to using my Edirol SD-20 on stage since it now has a driver for Windows 7, 64-bit. the crash cymbals and cymbals rang on and on for much too long a time to allow use of the standard drum set. I do not like its sounds as well as the TTS-1 and it created different problems related to crashing the programs, lacking upper bank patches, and seemingly make slight changes to the drum patches, eg. I tried the Forte DXi 1.6 that PG Music sells for use with the new 64-bit processors. Several files with heavy pitch bend tracks became distorted and left the file unusable. When I checked the previous file played they all seemed to have heavy pitch bend activity and often the last pitch bend entry was not "o". I also had sounds, like hung notes, at the very beginning of some files. In one file three adjacent tracks had their instruments changed. There were other combinations, eg, drum tracks sounding in piano but the transmit button in the event list always seemed to sound as a piano. On 7 or 8 files at least one track's instrument was changed by opening the file, e.g., a guitar track played drum sounds and, when I went to the event list and sampled the individual notes they sounded piano notes. When I started going through my current files the problems started. I was told TTS-1 would be great with the new 64-bit computer.

All of my files play correctly on my Windows 98 system with Virtual Sound Canvas and on my Windows XP Pro system with VSC/DXi sound.

I have 500+ midi files that I take to a job and got a new laptop to take advantage of new technology and move into audio+midi file prep and play. I purchased Music Creator 5 to get the TTS-1 to use with these programs. Just a week ago I set up Windows 7, 64-bit, with my 2010 BIAB and Real Band.
